Short story...I've been racing in the wrong class all this time! SORRY
Long Story...Bought car used in 2008 with 100k miles on it. There were exsiting visual aftermarket modifications (ECM controller, intake) that instantly put me into the Prepared Category, which I've been happily maxing out my allowed modifications in that category over the last couple years. So at Nationals I slipped timing, lost a bolt from my header to upipe connection causing a serious exhaust leak and loss of power, and tripped a CEL related to my Emissions/Evap System. I was obviously not able to repair any of this on Saturday night and didn't make it back to Nationals on Sunday. (Also sorry if I casued any confusion at Nationals with not showing up on Sunday, I tried to contact a few people to let timing know, but I'm sure ya'll figured it out pretty quickly.) So I got my timing fixed at the Subaru dealership and they get all done and say to me...You have a 2.5L engine. We all know that my WRX's didn't come stock with the EJ255 motor until 2006. So pleasant surprise I have an engine swapped wagon, but bad news for my fellow competitors in PA. So I can't really do anything about previous seasons, but I can do something about this season. I would like to forfeit all of my season points accrued to date. Again very unkown to me and I throw myself at the knees of the rally gods. At least I get to race with the big dogs now!
