EVENT #3 RECAP - Gusty winds, high winds, torrential winds, windy winds and pretty much every other kind of wind imaginable greeted 69 competitors at CORE in Deer Trail for Event #3. The new race area near the entrance to CORE proved to be fast and durable once the racing line cut through the alfalfa sprouts. Jerry Smith held a training session to add more technical inspectors and we were able to pass cars through tech faster than ever. Also, with more competitors completing online pre-registration and arriving early for the event, we were able to start racing sooner. Still working out a few bugs with the timing system, but we should be running like a finely-tuned Ford Focus SVT for the upcoming Event #4 at Pueblo Motorsports Park, coincidentally located in Pueblo, Colorado, on Saturday, June 19. Ted Vong and the Short Stop food trailer will be on site at Pueblo, so bring your appetite for delicious breakfast and lunch fare! PRE-REGISTRATION ROCKS! - Please pre-register on the Registration page prior to each event. With the growing number of competitors showing up at Colorado R-X events, online registration is a huge time-saver on race day. Online registration closes at 7:00 PM on Thursday before the event. No problemo if you pre-register but aren't able to attend. NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP UPDATE - Start saving your pennies to compete in the 2010 SCCA RallyCross National Championship at the U.S. Truck Driving School in Fountain during the weekend of August 20-22. Next year's national championship event is likely to be far, far away, so don't miss this twice in a lifetime opportunity to win a big trophy close to home. Register online at www.scca.com. SHOWTIME - SCCA is the featured marque at the First Saturday's Car Show at the Dick's Sporting Goods parking lot on Saturday, June 5. Shine up your RallyCross car and put it on display with other SCCA race cars. Contact Lindsay Wilson, Continental Divide Region, at This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. Sign up for the Rally Email List under the Resources link (see right side of website) and receive news, updates and hot-off-the-press info via the Email List. GO SOLO - If you're gonna need your racing fix before Event #4, go spin your tires at the two-day Memorial Weekend Solo autocross event. Go to www.rmsolo.org for event info and registration. PLANNING FOR THE FUTURE - Colorado RallyCross has operated somewhat independent of, but in cooperation with, both the Continental Divide Region (CDR) and the Colorado Region of the SCCA. As our organization continues to develop and our resource needs expand, CO R-X has made the decision to affiliate with the Continental Divide Region. Watch for more details about this new relationship soon.

Welcome to Colorado RallyCross! What is RallyCross? Think of it as autocross gone wild. Instead of a paved parking lot, we race on gravel or dirt under all types of conditions—dust, more dust, mud, rain, snow, ice, wind, and even darkness. If you’re new to RallyCross, check out our website for more information about the most exciting entry-level motorsport on the planet! If you’re a RallyCross veteran, be sure to mark this year’s events on your calendar. We hope to see you at the next event!
