August 24, 2008 - RallyCross #9 (National Qualifier)
Fountain, CO (USTDS) : This is the 8th event in the summer RallyCross series.
Directions to USTDS (Fountain, CO)
Racing begins Saturday morning and continues into the dark of night.
Expect 6 runs in the light and 6 runs in the dark.
Awards Sunday morning. (Makeup runs on Sunday if rained out on Saturday)
Round 1: August 23rd
Time: Registration: 8:00 to 9:00 A.M.
Tech: 8:30 to 9:30 A.M.
Drivers Mtg: 9:30 A.M.
Racing starts: 10:00 A.M.
Dinner: 5:00 P.M. – Applebee’s in Fountain
Directions: From the US truck driving school, drive north on I-25 to exit #132/Mesa Ridge Parkway. Turn right at the top of the exit and travel 0.5 mi. Take the ramp off Mesa Ridge Parkway to US-85/87 and turn left onto US-85/87 (north). Travel north for 1.7 mi and Applebee’s will be on your left.
Round 2: August 23rd
Time: Registration: 6:00 to 7:00 P.M.
Tech: 6:30 to 7:30 P.M.
Drivers Mtg: 7:30 P.M.
Racing starts: 8:00 P.M. (Don’t forget your lights)
Awards or Rain runs:
August 24th
Time: Awards: 9:00 to 10:30 A.M. at the Omelette Parlor (900 E. Fillmore)
(Approximately $7.50 per person for breakfast)
Directions: From I-25 in Colorado Springs, take exit #145/Fillmore St. east. Travel 1.3 mi to the Omelette Parlor on your left.
Rain runs: In the event of evening rain the night before, the award session will be held at the track immediately following make-up runs. Refer to the “Round 1” schedule for times.
Cost: $60 for current SCCA members
Temporary memberships will be available at the event. Late entries will be charged an additional $15 late fee.
Colorado RallyCross will award series points separately for the two Saturday events. All runs will count toward the National event.
Classing will be combined into 6 classes. Stock-2wd, Stock-4wd, Prepared-2wd, Prepared-4wd, Modified-2wd, Modified-4wd
Because this is a national event, the driver is the only person allowed in the car during competition runs. No passengers while racing.
All non-competition vehicles will be required to park off of the concrete pad in the pits.
Series Information
Colorado RallyCross Series will consist of 10 to 12 events with races taking place across the central portion of Colorado. Please keep in mind we are always looking for new venues to hold events, so email us with your suggestions.
